A delegation from the Arab Community Conference in the United Kingdom and the “Arab London” platform visited the Embassy of the Republic of Sudan in London to follow developments in the ongoing war in the country and to strengthen solidarity with the Sudanese people. The visit came in response to an invitation from His Excellency Ambassador Abubakr Al-Siddiq Mohammed Al-Amin.
The delegation consisted of 20 members from the Arab Community Conference in the UK, representing various nationalities, including lawyers, journalists, activists, and academics. During the visit, the delegation presented the conference’s commemorative shield to the ambassador. Discussions were held on the situation in Sudan, as well as the British and international positions on the conflict.
The ambassador welcomed the visit and emphasised the importance of the Arab community in the UK contributing to supporting the causes of Arab countries. The conference also presented an initiative offering the expertise of its members, including lawyers and specialists across different fields, to support Sudan.
During the visit, the delegation received a comprehensive briefing on the conflict and took part in an open and transparent discussion with the ambassador, who responded to all questions in a frank and cordial manner.
Arab London expressed appreciation for the ambassador’s warm reception and hospitality, and praised the efforts of the embassy staff, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening communication bridges between the Arab diaspora and their countries of origin.
The delegation reaffirmed its solidarity with Sudan and its people, stressing that a shared sense of belonging and responsibility extends across Arab countries, including Sudan and Palestine, with the belief that “the pain is one.”
