The Jordanian Ambassador to the United Kingdom receives a delegation from the Arab Community Conference.
The Jordanian Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Manar Dabbas, received a delegation from the Arab Community Conference in a meeting dedicated to discussing ways to enhance coordination and communication between Arab communities and Arab embassies in Britain, in light of the ongoing challenges facing the Arab region.
Mohammad Amin, Editor-in-Chief of Arab London, stated that Jordan is known for its consistent openness and readiness to engage with various initiatives, describing this step as consistent with Jordanian diplomatic tradition.
He explained that the visit came as a collective initiative from members of the Arab community, driven by the belief in the importance of proactive engagement with embassies and the need to strengthen coordination and unity. He stressed that Arabs in the United Kingdom, while holding British citizenship, remain closely connected to developments in their home countries.
He added that this visit represents an initial step toward structured cooperation and coordination between Arab communities and embassies, noting that it follows a series of visits that began with the Sudanese Embassy, then the Lebanese Embassy, and now the Jordanian Embassy.
For his part, the Jordanian Ambassador in London, Manar Dabbas, emphasised the importance of this initiative, stating that communication today should not be limited to each embassy with its own community, but should extend to Arab communities as a whole. He said that the delegation’s presence reflects a strong conviction among its members, as well as among those unable to attend, in the importance of coordination at the level of the broader Arab community, particularly at a time marked by serious developments in the region.
Dabbas noted that the current phase requires greater coordination in light of what he described as the ongoing violent war on Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and daily violations in the West Bank. He added that the initiative reflects a genuine awareness of the importance of structured Arab cooperation and organised engagement with Arab embassies, praising the step as one that opens the door for broader dialogue and future coordination.
