The Tunisian Embassy in London has affirmed its support for the Arab Community Conference, an initiative aimed at bringing together British Arabs under one umbrella. The embassy also stressed that it regards all members of the Arab community in Britain as part of its constituency and considers itself a diplomatic mission for all Arabs residing in the UK. In addition, the Tunisian Embassy expressed its full readiness to cooperate with the “Arab London” platform in organising events and activities that provide services and support to Arabs living in Britain.
These remarks were made by Dr. Hattab Al-Hadawi, Chargé d’Affaires at the Tunisian Embassy in the United Kingdom, during a meeting with a delegation from the Arab Community Conference and the “Arab London” platform at the embassy headquarters on Thursday afternoon, 14 May 2026. During the meeting, the delegation presented details about the conference’s activities and the platform’s initiatives.
Al-Hadawi informed the delegation that the Tunisian Embassy welcomes and supports these efforts and activities, affirming that “all the capabilities of the Tunisian Embassy are at the disposal of ensuring the success and further development of these initiatives.”
In exclusive remarks to “Arab London,” Al-Hadawi described the meeting as “fruitful, cordial, and a promising beginning for strengthening relations with the Arab Community Conference and the Arab London platform.” He added: “God willing, we will join hands and work together to serve members of the Tunisian community and the wider Arab community residing in the United Kingdom. We have many cooperation programmes that we seek to implement in ways that bring benefit and value to all members of the Arab community in Britain.”
The delegation also presented a commemorative shield to the Chargé d’Affaires and the embassy staff. Ali Al-Qudoumi, spokesperson for the Arab Community Conference, stated that the shield represented a symbolic gesture of appreciation from the Arab community in Britain to the Republic of Tunisia, and not only to the staff of the Tunisian Embassy in London.
The delegation from the Arab Community Conference and “Arab London” also conveyed their deep appreciation for the positions of the Tunisian state and praised its role at the Arab, international, and political levels.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to organise joint events in the coming weeks focused on the Tunisian community in Britain, while also encompassing the wider Arab community.
